Beef bourginon

Ingredients

  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Bottle Red Wine
  • 1 sprig Fresh Thyme
  • 50g Butter
  • Fresh Parsley
  • 150ml Beef Stock
  • 750g Beef
  • 1 tbsp Plain Flour
  • 1 Onion
  • 200g Shallots whole
  • 100g Smoked Bacon
  • 1/2 head Garlic
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Sticks Celery
  • 175g Mushrooms

Method

  1. Coat the Beef in the flour and seasoning
  2. Brown the meat with the onions and other Vegetables.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and transfer to a casserole.
  4. Cook slowly until the meat is tender.
